Conferences and Events You Should Consider Attending

Conferences geared toward the landscaping industry offer business owners a unique opportunity to connect and interact with a variety of vendors and landscape professionals, attend educational seminars, learn about new equipment and products, and discuss current market trends.

There is typically a wide variation of material on the conference agenda ranging from sustainability to laws & regulation information, safety, training & development and so much more. Larger conferences will offer smaller breakout sessions to discuss each topic more in depth.

Below is a list of some of the top landscaping events scheduled for 2023.

Montana Green Expo

This horticulture industry expo, sponsored by the Montana Nursery & Landscape Association (MNLA), will be held from January 3 - 5 in Missoula at the Hilton Garden Inn.

The trade show & convention will be open to all attendees in the horticulture industry with reduced registration fees for MNLA members. An Awards Banquet is included in the registration fee.

MNLA members will have an opportunity to submit their projects into an Awards Contest. Winners will receive recognition at the Banquet and in the local newspaper.

2023 WALP Northwest Landscape Industry Conference

This annual industry conference is scheduled for January 12 - 14 at the Hotel Indigo in Everett, WA.

Registration fee is $275 for attendees and includes all educational seminars and breakout sessions. An additional $75 is required to attend the Award Dinner.

Exhibitors will receive free conference registration, one complimentary tabletop display, marketing material and Web exposure for their business, as well as lots of networking opportunities.

2023 Utah Green Conference & Trade Show

The Utah Nursery & Landscape Association will feature their annual green conference and trade show from January 23 - 25 at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy, UT.

Exhibitors will range from 100-500 with keynote speaker, Charles Marshall.

Fees for the event vary with a choice of one-day, two-day or three-day packages.

Great Lakes Trade Expo

The Michigan Nursery & Landscape Association will be presenting their event at a new location at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, MI from January 24 - 26.

Exhibitors can anticipate being exposed to thousands of Green Industry professionals throughout the Great Lakes Region in order to network and grow their businesses.

Some of the presenters on the 2023 seminar schedule include Arboriculture, Plants & Design, and Turf & Landscape Management professionals.

2023 Kentucky Green Industry Conference Winter Expo

Sponsored by the Kentucky Nursery & Landscape Association (KNLA), this conference will take place in Louisville, KY from January 24 - 26 at the Holiday Inn Louisville East.

Business meeting and Hall of Fame ceremony will be on the first day of the conference with landscaping association and arborist presentations on days 2 and 3.

Registration fee for one day is $135 and for two days is $250, or $220 for companies with four or more employees attending.

Grow Maine Green Expo

This green industry B2B tradeshow, sponsored by the Maine Landscape & Nursery Association (MELNA), is scheduled for January 25th at the Augusta Civic Center in Augusta, ME.

Exhibition booths will include plant, hardscape and nursery professionals, in addition to equipment suppliers and representatives from a variety of non profits and affiliated organizations.

Exhibitors will have the opportunity to set up the day before the event.

Total Pro Expo

The most integrated industry-wide conference and expo for the states of NY, NJ and PA will be held at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison, NJ from January 31 – February 1.

This expo is designed for Landscape, Hardscape & Horticultural professionals to increase their networking opportunities by bringing together buyers and sellers with the goal of expanding their landscaping businesses.

Nor Cal Landscape & Nursery Show

The NorCal Nursery Group, in conjunction with The California Landscape Contractors Association, will be sponsoring their annual trade show at the San Mateo Event Center on February 9.

Admission to exhibits is free for all attendees with pre-registration, however, there is a fee to attend specific seminars. Educational topics and prices can be found on their website.

Landscape New Jersey 2023

This is considered to be the largest green landscape industry trade show & conference in the Tri-State area and will be held on March 1 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ.

Hundreds of exhibit booths will be featured at this one day event. A myriad of educational opportunities will be available related to recent industry trends in plants, green products, hardscapes, equipment, and so much more. Attendees will also have an opportunity to receive pesticide, tree and fertilizer recertification credits.

The Landscape Show

The Orange County Convention Center will be the location for the 2023 Landscape Show in Orlando, FL from August 23 - 25.

With over 700 trade show booths, attendees will have the opportunity to make powerful networking connections while also taking part in a variety of educational seminars geared toward the nursery and landscape industries.

The Landscape Show 2024 will also take place in Orlando. Dates are TBD.

Anaheim Landscape Expo

This is a regional trade show and is considered to be the premier landscaping event for the Western US. It will take place in Anaheim, CA on September 20 - 21 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Exhibitors will include nurseries, landscape equipment and vehicles, irrigation specialists, and much more.
