Carpet & Rug Institute (CRI)

The mission of the Carpet & Rug Institute is to be the central location for industry information pertaining to everything related to carpets. CRI aims to educate consumers and the industry at large about cleaning products and equipment to help protect the environment and extend the lifespan of your carpets and rugs.

Membership Details:

There are several different categories for membership to this organization.

  • Associate Manufacturer – Carpet Industry
  • Associate – Carpet Industry
  • Associate – Seal of Approval Service Provider
  • Non-US Non-Voting

Membership includes, among many other benefits, networking opportunities, resources and exclusive industry information, advocacy with various local, national, and international governments to promote policy changes, and reduced rates for Green Label Plus and Seal of Approval testing.

Association of Rug Care Specialists (ARCS)

Overview:

The Association of Rug Care Specialists focuses on educational opportunities for the enhancement of industrial standards for rug care worldwide. In addition to a variety of courses and events offered throughout the year, there are also opportunities to tour cleaning plants, carpet mills, and museums as a way of sharing industry knowledge.

Conferences/Events:

ARCS has an annual convention which will be held from April 19-21, 2023 in Dallas, TX. There are also several courses held throughout the year in various locations.

Membership Details:

There are three types of membership to this organization with varying benefits.

  • Journeymen Membership (Non-Rug Cleaning Professionals)
  • Associate Membership (Appraisers, Dealers, Consultants, Service Providers, Equipment Manufacturer’s)

Carpet & Rug Cleaners Institute of Illinois (CRCII)

The mission of the Carpet & Rug Cleaners Institute of Illinois is to motivate members to enhance and improve industry standards by offering a variety of opportunities for professional development, nurturing of business relationships, as well as delivering industry promotional benefits.

Membership Details:

Annual dues to this organization is $95. Benefits include continuing education, networking opportunities, discounts on products and services, and eligibility to participate on CRCII committees with voting privileges.

ISSA - The Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association

Overview:

With headquarters in cities around the world, ISSA is considered to be the cleaning industry’s leading trade association. Members receive many benefits ranging from industry publications, networking opportunities, educational products and the ability to improve industry standards via legislative and regulatory pathways.

Conferences/Events:

There is an abundance of global shows and events throughout the world each year for members to gather. The ISSA North America conference will take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas from November 13 -16.

Membership Details:

Membership levels vary depending on the specific region. There are three levels for members located in the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean (Basic, Plus, and Premium). Membership for other regions can be found on the ISSA website.

There are two different membership packages for LMCCA.

Gold Membership ($150 per year)

Package includes representation to IICRC and industry publications, access to members-only areas of the LMCCA website, the ability to advertise using the universally recognized LMCCA Water Drop logo, and a business listing on the LMCCA.org website with enrollment into “Search for a Cleaner”, to name a few.

Industry Partnership Membership ($500 per year)

This membership level offers members opportunities for industry representation, access to specific products that aren’t available to non-members, and an ability to serve on the LMCCA Board of Directors and LMCCA committees in order to influence policies and projects.
